Tapestries: Kurul
Description
Being a shapeshifter, Vexx's appearance varies depending upon his own personal whims. But since his shapeshifting ability has its limits, there are a few things about him that never change. Firstly, his sex is always male. He is able to take a female form, but he has no desire to. Secondly, he is always about six feet tall and weighs about 160 lbs. Thirdly, he wears a jade pendant (the Mark of Vexx) right at the top of his chest, where his collarbone and sternum meet. It is not just a piece of jewelry, it's actually part of his body. And finally, his clothing - he is almost always seen wearing the same blood-red robe, with the Mark of Vexx acting as the brooch. The robe has ornate golden designs, shoulders and trim, and he wears a gold sash around his waist.
His two favorite forms are human and anthro feline. His feline form looks like a hybrid of at least three species, with the facial features of a lynx, the build of a housecat, and the tail of a lion. His headfur is teal and somewhat messy. In feline form he goes barefoot. His human form, which seems to be the one he most commonly uses, is a thin, fair-skinned man with a black flattop and goatee. In this form, he usually wears shoes or boots.
Personality
D&D Alignment: Lawful Evil
Usually quiet and observing, other times extremely jaded and sarcastic, Vexx takes pleasure in taunting and mocking us "lesser beings". Arrogant but not power-hungry, he is happy in his current position - recognized by name but not by sight. In other words, he enjoys being infamous, but does not want to take a true position of power.
He's always looking out for number one, but only very rarely does he do anything truly cruel. When he does, you can bet he has a good reason for it. For example, perhaps someone is threatening to reveal that he's not who he claims to be, or perhaps some greater evil is threatening mortal life as a whole.
When such situations present themselves, he needs more energy than he can usually obtain, and since he feeds on mortal energy, he "recruits" some group of would-be heroes, acting as their mentor or benefactor until they're powerful enough to serve his needs - at which point he kills them and takes their energy for himself.
But no matter how powerful he gets, once his crises are over, Vexx simply disappears back into obscurity and returns to life as usual.
More info
Due to his "divine" nature, Vexx cannot have sexual contact with a female without impregnating her. To have children, however, is the last thing he desires, and thus he avoids sex with the opposite gender, at least until a foolproof way to avert the problem can be found.
